Sorry everyone!

I realize I probably should have posted this sooner, but I have been incredibly swamped, and I intend to continue this comic, but I have been unable to update in quite some time. Nevertheless, I will continue soon so keep the faith.

Thank you.

We'll take it as a compliment

Recently, after debuting one of our comics on a popular artist community site for everyone's enjoyment and some critiques, we were told that our strip resembled a poor rip-off of Penny Arcade. Granted, we all enjoy that comic and have probably read them all. I won't sit and defend our work and nitpick out all the differences between ours and theirs, but I would like to make one point: THIS IS WHAT WE REALLY LOOK LIKE. Any physical resemblance between our characters and theirs is our parents fault. I draw what I see. Anyhoo here's the latest!

As an extra added bonus for being so late with this week's post, here's what the comic would have looked like if we were accused of ripping off the classic french comic "Tintin". Enjoy...

Man I want one...

In my youth, I had a wonderful beard that I took on walks and cared for everyday. I loved that beard. Now that I'm married, there's no room for my little beard in the relationship. Sure, you can say I'm getting whupped up on, you can even email me whip-cracking sound effects to your hearts content. I've tried to bring Beard back, and when you have to sit through day after day of "Please shave it... please?" and "When are you gonna shave it?" you think, "well, maybe she'll get used to it and stop asking". Now, I say this without hyperbole, after the third week of every conversation ending with a plea for shaving, one's resolve starts to shake. I still miss Beard tho...

Enjoy!

How we do

Today's comic details our roles and processes that we adhere to when bringing you this comic. As you can see here Pilfro's diseased brain thinks up some new filth, and tries to get it through scams who acts as our conscience, gatekeeper and editor. I will blissfully draw anything that's put in front of me, no matter how stinky it is. This strip itself is a perfect example of how we do: The word on the bag was originally "Babies" when Pilfro first pitched it, but that was struck down right off the bat.

Enjoy!

Killing Time

My god I'm slower than your Mother at a Slow Mom contest(uncalled-for Mother cut) lately! But I finally have the latest toon done and here it is. This one sprang from a conversation we've had many times questioning the sexuality of the Paladin class and the unnecessarily homo-erotically named talent of "Laying on Hands". The irony that this is a practice of the church and all the trouble their employees have been getting into on this subject is not lost on me. Needless to say, some of us(Myself, Pilfro) enjoy playing the squeaky clean Pallys. Others, Scams included take every opportunity to deride that noble class. Anyhoo, without further ado, here is a situation where the questioned ability could come into play...

DDO and why it is great...

Ok let's list some things we Like about DDO.
-The lack of sequential quests
-Fact that the monsters can see and/or hear you.
-Loving the city.
-Dungeon crawl quests 4TW.
-A rogue getting to actually do rogue stuff.
-The PUGs are mature.
-Traps!

Pilfro's reasons...
I like the feeling of being in one part of a big world, that will grow over time.
Eventually all the lands will be added. However I think they will always be instanced.....I dont think you will get on a horse and travel to the next city...but maybe.
The total mileage of storm reach is huge. If you take in dung space and all the houses market place...etc Its a lot bigger then it looks.

Oats' reason(s)
I like boobies...

Communion

Well I finished this book the other day, it was a run away hit in the 80s....but then so were parachute pants and Bryan Adams
I didn’t buy it; I don’t think the author was lying. I just think he has something going on in the old noggin that isn’t right....see "beautiful mind."

He doesn’t mention it, but I’m pretty sure he was named after the Whitley from "Another World"
Which is very strange since he is much older then her. But I’m sure it has something to do with time travel or something else he mentions in his book that makes no sense to the skeptic.

He makes a lot of mention on how the aliens are warning him about the hole in the ozone and nuclear war....I went on his web site and now his theme seems to be the evils of religion's(mid east war)....how convenient now that nuclear war with the Soviet Union is no longer an issue.

That said the book was a good read for the most part, and if you’re more open minded you might enjoy it more then me. C+

So what's your excuse this week for not playing?

Pilfro has more excuses than this guy when it comes to game-time. Last night was "yardwork at night" and today the "cable is out with a loop error".
Later on I am sure I will hear "See!! You are level 5 and I am only level 2.. ErrrWaaaaaa-errWaaaaaa"
Call the Waambulence.

DDO just got better...

This weekend we ran Kobold Assault quest in DDO. It transports you far outside of town to some huge gate. Once the gate is opened, the kobolds start to pour in. You have to kill 200 of them!! No easy task, but with the right crew it is doable. Before opening the gate, I admitted to Pilfro (Feathor at the time) that I was a little nervous. The game portrayed an "impending doom" sort of vibe very well. I felt like I was at the outer walls of defense (and think I actually was). For a guy that has waited for 10 years for this, it was a great moment.
Buy DDO now!! Won't regret it. Oh, and no I don't work for them :-p

Can't we just play Knobs instead?

Hello all, Here is Toon #2 for everyone keeping score at home. This simple yet classic prank came up in conversation recently, so we decided to revisit the pain.

Enjoy!

ZOMG DDO 4TW

So it has been a few weeks with my newly purchased DDO. I now have a 2nd level Rogue (Finious) and a 1st level Pally (Tanaka). The great thing about this game is that each class is necessary for each quest.
I ran the same quests that I already ran through with the Rogue and had a completely different experience with the Pally. Both times it was freakin' great. I hooked up with a PUG and they were great...come to think about it, every PUG I ran with thus far has been great. The players in this game take it very serious. So many times I have been the guy looking for the quest-giver while the rest of the group is already in the dungeon. Sure enough, one of them comes out to get me and show me where to get the quest without complaining or bitching at all. It is such a nice change from WoW for me.
I was part of the "Stress Test" a few months ago and came away with a bad taste in my mouth...think my quote was "It is very much like Elder Scrolls with a hint of Tomb Raider3". I decided not to purchase it... this was before the free 7 day trial. Hey, if they want to let me play for free, cool. Sure enough, after my 7 day trial, I found myself really looking forward to playing. Keeping in mind that I have been playing PnP D+D for about 25 years, so I was very very critical of this so called D+D Online. After 2 weeks of playing, I think this game is better than WoW... which is a bold F'in statement because WoW is a great game (played it for almost 1yr). That's right, you heard me... DDO is better than WoW. Play the 7 day trial and make your own decision. How could you not enjoy dungeon adventure with traps, puzzles, and gore... oh my.

Scamo out.

(P.S. I will be posting the NEXT toon to correspond to this post. So start hyperventilating in excitement! -Oats)
